The Huckleberry Hound Show Production Cel and Painted Pan Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1958-61). The Huckleberry Hound Show premiered on 10/2/58. It was H-B's second TV series and Huckleberry Hound was one of the studio's first superstars. The show featured Huck along with Yogi Bear and Pixie and Dixie cartoons. When Yogi got his own show, he was replaced with Hokey Wolf. This was the first cartoon TV series to win an Emmy Award. Huck was an everyday dog with a Southern drawl, voiced by the great Daws Butler. He would wear a different hat in almost every episode. This is a great hand-inked hand-painted production cel of Huckleberry Hound, placed on a hand-painted early Hanna-Barbera Studio pan production background. The cel and background work well with each other. Early H-B production art from this era is very rare. Huck is a nice full figure image of 4". Pan background is 17.5" x 10.5". Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
