The Herculoids Publicity Cel (Hanna-Barbera, 1967). Designed by the legendary comic book artist Alex Toth (1928 - 2006), The Herculoids premiered on CBS in the Fall of 1967. This is a truly unique hand-painted trimmed publicity cel used in the creation of press materials for the show. Created from original Alex Toth artwork, it features Zudor, Tara, Dorno, Zok, Igoo, Tundra, and Gloop and Gleep. The 9" x 10.5" image is mounted to 10" x 14" board with two registration marks along the top and "The Herculoids @ Hanna-Barbera Productions" handwritten in blue pencil along the bottom. This artwork predates the show's release and is an important piece of this shows history. The piece shows minor handling wear; otherwise condition is Very Good.
