The Heckling Hare Bugs Bunny and Willoughby Concept/Layout Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1941). Bugs and the dopey dog Willoughby star in this classic Warner Brothers short which ultimately became the reason the Tex Avery left the studio and moved to MGM. He and Leon Schlesinger quarreled about the ending and Tex was suspended for four weeks without pay. During his suspension MGM Studio came calling and animation history was made. This is an original concept/layout drawing of the scene around the 4:36 mark by animator Rev Chaney and is signed by the artist at the bottom of the page. It's a magnificent composition rendered in graphite and red pencil that measures 10.5" x 8.5" on 12 field 2-peghole paper. The piece shows light handling and condition is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
