The Grinch Original Drawing by Chuck Jones (MGM, c. 1990s). How the Grinch Stole Christmas made its historic TV debut on 12/18/66. The core creative team of Doctor Seuss (Ted Geisel), Maurice Noble, and Chuck Jones all initially met working on "Private Snafu" World War II shorts for the military. This is a rare original 12 field graphite drawing of the Grinch from the hand of animation legend and director of this timeless classic TV special, Mr. Chuck Jones (1912-2002). This drawing was done for his Chuck Jones Art Program. It features an auto-pen estate signature (NOT hand-signed, as we originally thought) by Mr. Jones and includes a Letter of Authenticity from Linda Jones Enterprises. Graphite on paper in distinctive Jones style, with a great image size of 6". Matted with an opening size of 11" x 9", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 20" x 18". Stunning image! Fine condition.
