    Description

The Flintstones Storyboard Drawings Sequence of 4 with Jean Vander Pyl Signatures (Hanna-Barbera, 1960). This is an original hand-drawn storyboard sequence from the third episode of the very first season of The Flintstones titled "The Swimming Pool." Fred and Barney decide to put in a pool which leads to a prehistoric property dispute. This is so early in the development of the series that in this charter episode Fred hollers "Yahoo" instead of his trademark "Yabba Dabba Doo!" The scene from these four frames on two separate sheets can be seen around the 5:54 mark. The back of the frame is signed by the voice of Wilma, Jean Vander Pyl (1919 - 1999). Rendered in graphite with handwritten dialog and notes, these storyboard drawings from the first successful Prime Time animated TV sitcom and are true pieces of vintage Hanna-Barbera artwork and television history. They are framed together under glass with two mat openings of 4.5" x 11" in an 11" x 30.5" frame. On the mat is attached a printed synopsis of the episode. Both pieces show handling and pinholes. Condition is Fine. Frame is sold as-is.
