The Flintstones "Fred's Ribs Order" Original Drawing for Limited Edition (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1989). Here's the original artwork for "Fred's Ribs Order". The 300-piece limited edition released in 1991 has been sold out for almost two decades. This original artwork showing a very happy Fred as his rib order arrives is one of the most popular limited editions from Hanna-Barbera. The artwork was created by Gene Hazelton (1919 – 2005) who spent many years at MGM working with Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera on Tom & Jerry as well as Tex Avery. At the Walt Disney Studios, he animated the goat kids in Fantasia as well as several sequences in Pinocchio. At Hanna-Barbera, Hazelton played a key role in establishing the style of the studio's programs in the early years. He is credited for the creation of beloved Flintstones' tots Pebbles and Bamm Bamm. This fantastic illustration was rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field animation paper which has been affixed to card stock. Original drawings for sold out limited editions are arguable rare and a real prize for collectors of animation art. Overall condition is Very Good.
