    Description

The Flintstones "Fred Goes Ape" Storyboard and Script Group (Hanna-Barbera, 1966). Here's a bit of "prehistoric" history for all you Flintstone fans. This is the original set of hand-drawn storyboards for The Flintstones Season 6, Episode 16 "Fred Goes Ape" that premiered on 1/14/66. This is where Fred takes a medication called "Scram" to stop his sneezing fits, but with each pill he takes, the side effects briefly turn him into an ape! There are 59 pages of original artwork, with nine panels per page. The art looks to possibly be by long-time H-B storyboard artist Dab Gordon. Included with this lot are three Master Dialogue sheets for "Fred Goes Ape," "Rocky's Raiders," (marked "OK'd" in Joe Barbera's handwriting) and "Treasure of Sierra Madrock" episodes. The personal scripts for "Fred Goes Ape" for Mel Blanc, Alan Reed, Jean Vander Pyl, and Gerry Johnson are included, and each is signed by its respective voice artist -- each one a prize in itself! Minor handling and edge wear, and border tears, but overall, in Very Good condition.
