The Flintstones Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble Color Model Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Hanna-Barbera, 1964). In this holiday episode from The Flintstones' fifth season (also known as How the Flintstones Saved Christmas) which first aired on Christmas day in 1964, Fred takes over for Santa who is sick in bed. Included here are a pair of fantastic vintage Hanna-Barbera animation drawings with Color Model call-outs from this, the very first Flintstones Christmas Special. The first drawing shows Fred and Barney (in prehistoric winter clothing) riding in Fred's car as they sit in holiday traffic, and the image can be seen at the very beginning around the 1:07 mark. It is rendered in graphite with red pencil on 12 field animation paper, with color codes added in ink. The production number P-131 (later changed to P-128) is handwritten above the image. The second drawing, from the 3:35 mark, showcases Fred operating his heavy equipment dinosaur at the quarry. It too is rendered in graphite, framed in red pencil, and includes color codes in ink. These are two amazing drawings from the original series, and definitely must-haves for any vintage Flintstones or Hanna-Barbera collector. Both are matted and framed identically under glass with a mat opening of 9.5" x 12", in a 17.5" x 20" frame. Frame is sold as-is. Very Good condition.
