    Description

The Flintstones First Episode Opening Title Production Cel (Hanna-Barbera, 1960). On Friday night, October 14, 1960, the very first episode of The Flintstones aired on ABC, and television history was made. The first episode was titled "The Swimming Pool." This is the actual hand-painted opening title cel for that very first show. It's labeled "SC1" (Scene 1) "HFL1" (Hanna-Barbera Flintstones Episode 1). This is the earliest version of the Flintstones main title ever used, for what is considered to be one of the most famous cartoon openings of all time! These shows have been airing non-stop all over the world since the premiere episode aired. The cel is 12.5" x 10.5" and has been placed over a photocopy of Fred in his car, from the original Sequence. In Fine condition, "Flintstones" measures just under 8" long. A true animation museum quality piece!
