The Flintstones Early Storyboard Drawing (Hanna-Barbera, 1960). Yabba Dabba Doo! In Joe Barbera's autobiography My Life in Toons (1994), the book opens with the story how Joe personally shopped the Flintstones to virtually every adverting agency in Chicago and got turned down time after time. His fevered pitch was done with hand-drawn storyboards containing dialogue from the "Swimming Pool" episode, written by Warren Foster. It wound up as the third episode shown in Season One, first shown on 10/14/60. This is a two panel storyboard (#'s 53/54) of Betty Rubble asking Barney off-view If he has the cat. Betty has nice image size of 3". Art is in graphite on 12" x 5" paper. There are glue stains on back from the original a presentation board. This simple two panel storyboard/presentation is a piece of animation and television history. This board was one of many designed to sell the show, which we all know eventually aired on ABC television -- on Prime Time, no less! Glue residue on back and on front in spots. Good condition.
