    Description

The Flintstones Bedrock Diner Interior Painted Production Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1961). A very colorful original hand-painted 12 field production background of the interior of the "Bedrock Diner." This beautiful background using the trademark sponge painting technique is from the "The Missing Bus" episode, where after a pay cut, Fred quits his job at the quarry and takes on a job as a school bus driver for 50 kids. This was the third episode in Season 2, first shown on 9/29/61. Backgrounds for this episode were painted by Robert Gentle, Art Lozzi, Fernando Monteapegra, and Richard (Dick) Thomas. This diner is where all the school bus drivers go for their coffee, to recoup after transporting the kids. The background measures 10" x 13" with BG 119 P-37 written in the bottom right corner. Fine condition.
