Description

The Eyes Have It Production Background (Walt Disney, 1945). In the Jack Hannah-directed theatrical short The Eyes Have It, Donald Duck uses hypnosis goggles to manipulate Pluto into various animal-like states. Seen at the 4:35 mark of the film, this simply gorgeous hand-painted original production background is from the moment in which Pluto thinks he's a lion, and he prowls toward the camera on the hunt for a rooster. Rendered stunningly in gouache on 12 field 5-peghole background board, the piece bears production notes at the bottom and an official Walt Disney Productions stamp on the back. The film's production number 2315 is written on the bottom and back along with the scene number 57.1. Online viewings don't do this beautiful piece justice! This level of quality is typically reserved for Disney features. The painting shows minor handling and edge wear with light smudging/scuffing near the edges, and the condition is Very Good.
