    Description

The Emperor's New Groove Employee Presentation Cel (Walt Disney, 2000). With no hand-painted cels used in the production of this film, the vaunted Disney Ink & Paint Department took original animation drawings and hand-painted traditional cels for the employees who worked on the film, who were allowed to choose from a total of 10 select images. These hand-painted cels were never made available to the public. This is a large (18" x 12.5"), 16-field, 5-peghole, hand-painted cel of Kronk (who is 10" tall on the cel and was voiced by Patrick Warburton) created from original animation drawings for Sequence 4.0 Scene 16, where Kronk finds himself betwixt and between his own personal angel and devil. This is cel #15 in a limited edition of 81. It is accompanied by a Disney certificate of authenticity and a Disney Feature Animation seal. This one is a winner on so many levels, and is in Mint condition in its original sleeve.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
