The Dognapper Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Bad Pete Animation Drawings (Walt Disney, 1934). A terrific pair of vintage production drawings from the 1934 Walt Disney short subject The Dognapper. Mickey and a rare "long-billed "version of Donald Duck are police officers chasing Dognapper Bad Pete. Despite their bumbling, they manage to repeatedly get the drop on Pete at his sawmill hideout, though they ultimately make a shamble of the place. This hilarious short subject cartoon was directed by Disney veteran animator David Hand. Clarence "Ducky" Nash provides the voice for Donald and in a rare turn-of-events also provided the voice for Mickey who is usually voiced by Walt Disney however, Walt was in Europe at the time. The first drawing features Pete. The drawing is numbered 102 and is noted, "Model Drawing Bill Roberts Sc 46." Roberts served as an animator on this short along with Disney Legends, Les Clark, Clyde Geronimi, and Hamilton Luske. The second drawing features Mickey and Donald. The drawing is numbered 202 in the bottom right. These production drawings were rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper.
