Description

The Bugs Bunny Show Bugs, Daffy Duck, and Tasmanian Devil Sequenced Layout Drawing Storyboard Group (Warner Brothers, 1960). "On with the show, this is it!" The Bugs Bunny Show premiered in Prime Time on October 11th, 1960 and ran for 40 straight years (including the move to Saturday mornings). Each episode showcased three theatrical shorts with new animation to bridge them together. This group is a series of six Sequenced, 12 field, detailed, layout drawings of Bugs, Daffy Duck, and the Tasmanian Devil. Produced in graphite with Conte crayon. The first one is labeled as being from "Sc.18- #1603". The next four are marked as being from "Sc.19, 1603," with the last one being the first part of "Sc.20/1603." The middle four are numbered in the lower right corner 1-3 and 5. This Sequence lays out the entire gag. All are individually glass front framed to 20" x 16.5". Characters range from 5" to 8" tall. Fun and funny! In Fine condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
