    Description

The Black Hole Original Concept Art by Peter Ellenshaw (Walt Disney, 1979). A wonderful little concept painting by Oscar winning visual effects artist, Peter Ellenshaw (1913 – 2007). The painting measures 10" x 6.75" and depicts the rear of the spaceship U.S.S. Cygnus from the feature film, The Black Hole. Initially titled Space Station One, The Black Hole is notable for two reasons, being the first Disney film to be rated "PG" and the first Disney film to have both Peter and Harrison Ellenshaw working together. Peter's talent and experience in special visual effects were so respected that Disney called him out of retirement after 10 years to work on The Black Hole. Concept art from The Black Hole can be hard to find and this one is a real find as any artwork from The Black Hole rarely comes to market. A great little masterpiece from the master of visual effects, Peter Ellenshaw! Edge wear from production use. Overall condition is Very Good.
