DescriptionThe Black Cauldron Taran and Magic Sword Maquettes Group (Walt Disney, 1985). Maquettes are some of the coolest -- and rarest – items created during production of an animated film. They are made in very small numbers, going only to animators working on that particular character (or in the case of one of these items, "thing"), for 3-D reference. They hardly ever leave the studio, unless taken home by an important member of the production team, after the film is wrapped. These two very cool items were held by one of the top executives, and include a bust of Taran and the magic King's Sword. Taran is about 4.75" tall, while the sword measures a full 17". Each one is hand-painted. Condition is Very Good, with some minor handling and paint loss.
