The Banana Splits Show Head-Shot Illustrations Group of 4 (Hanna-Barbera, 1968). "One banana, two banana, three banana, four..." This set of four fantastic head shots of Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper, and Snork will have you singing "Tra-la-la" in no time! This Saturday morning show combined elements from H. R. Pufnstuf, The Monkees, and a cartoon club format for a cult hit! The costume characters were designed by Sid and Marty Krofft. Fleegle, the beagle, played guitar. Drooper, the lion, played bass. Bingo, the bear, played drums. While Snorky, the little elephant who never talked, played keyboards. Any and all artwork associated with this live-action show is considered very rare. This set of four original line art images were created so H-B could produce a series of hand-pulled silk screen print posters for the release of the show. Each was in the Andy Warhol-inspired tight close-up style that was in vogue at the time. Created in marker over blue pencil on 13.5" x 16" animation paper with 3-peghole side punches in the left-side margins. A complete set of all four original art images and in Fine condition.
