    Description

The Art of Skiing Goofy Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1941). "Upon reaching the summit, our first step is our turn into position. This is accomplished by the kick turn" says longtime Goofy narrator John McLeish. This short gave birth to the Goofy "How To" series. It was directed by Jack Kinney and released on 11/14/1941. It opens with Goofy going to the Sugar Bowl Ski Resort that Walt Disney had an interest in. This resort had a "Mount Disney." This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted trimmed production cel of Goofy from right when he departs the ski lift, at the 4:09 mark. Great fun full-figure image, measuring 4" x 9". Cel is on a Courvoisier custom hand-painted background. The WDP stamp is in the bottom right corner. The Courvoisier label is included. Overall setup size is approximately 10" x 9.75". The nitrate cel has rippling with small tears along Goofy's face, and will require restoration. Fair condition.
