DescriptionThe Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad Ratty and Moley Production Cel Setup with Master Background (Walt Disney, 1949). "And so, you see, he did trade Toad Hall for the motor car." explains Angus MacBadger. "Then Toad was innocent all the time!" replies Ratty. Seen at the 27:44 mark of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, here is an exceptional and rare hand-inked and hand-painted original production cel setup featuring Mr. Toad's dear friends Ratty and Moley, taped to a stunning hand-painted 12 field preliminary production background, rendered in gouache. The background artists on this film were Art Riley, Ray Huffine, Brice Mack, Merle Cox and Dick Anthony. The characters are presented on a vertical 12 field cel setup from the delightful shot in which the camera pans up to reveal Mr. Toad hiding in the Christmas tree above them. The cels and background show minor handling wear with tape showing on some edges. The condition overall is Very Good.
