DescriptionThe Adventures of Don Coyote Mumbly Production Cel and Master Background (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1970/90s). A very RARE production cel of Mumbly, the cartoon dog famous for his wheezy laugh, placed over a Master background from The Adventures of Don Coyote. Mumbly bears a strong resemblance to his cousin Muttley from the animated series Wacky Races and Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines. Like Muttley, Mumbly does not really talk; he mumbles and grumbles unintelligibly, and often uses his trademark snicker. Mumbly was inspired by the TV detective character Columbo. The cel is trimmed to image and placed on an original production background from The Adventures of Don Coyote, the animated series created by Hanna-Barbera for European television. The background was rendered in gouache on 12 field background board. Mumbly is hand-painted on acetate. Overall condition is Very Good.
