The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Production Cel Signed by Don Messick (Hanna-Barbera, 1985). The seventh Scooby-Doo series was a departure from the earlier versions, with Scooby and company encountering real supernatural forces; Vincent Price was brought in as Vincent Van Ghoul to add to the frightful fun. Here's a production cel from the show's 1985 run, featuring a scared Scooby in Shaggy's lap, placed against a printed background. What really makes this one special is the added signature of long-time H-B voice artist Don Messick, who provided Scooby-Doo's mangled mutterings. The late Mr. Messick also portrayed Boo Boo Bear, Astro, Muttley, Papa Smurf, Bamm Bamm, and many others. This cel was signed in the early 1990s at the Midwest Animation Lecture Series in Chicago. Great large image, with Shaggy 6" tall and Scooby 7" wide, in Fine condition. Matted and framed with glass for an overall 18" x 14.5".

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
