Tennis Racquet Goofy Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1949). "These boys play two entirely different types of tennis. Little Joe choosing the soft, steadier, defensive game, and Big Ben preferring the hard-driving, offensive, smashing, slashing, crashing game!" Offered in this lot is a rare sequence of three original animation drawings featuring Goofy from the Jack Kinney-directed theatrical short Tennis Racquet. This hilarious satire is part of the beloved sports series of Disney cartoons in which Goofy plays every role to demonstrate a popular sport. Tennis Racquet was released to theaters on 8/26/1949. These drawings were created for the moments seen at the 2:29 mark of the film, rendered expertly in graphite and color pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. Goofy measures a centered and approximate 4" to 4.75" tall, and the drawings are numbered 16, 19, and 54 in the lower right corners.
