Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo Production Cel Group of 4 with Animation Drawing (Murakami-Wolf-Swenson, c. 1987-96). Created by independent cartoonists Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a hit cultural phenomenon, and it had an enormous impact on Saturday morning cartoons to come. Here are four absolutely fantastic hand-painted original production cels from the series, featuring one each of the pizza-loving reptiles. As exciting bonuses, Raphael comes with his accompanying animation drawing, and Donatello's cel has an MWS seal of authenticity. Leonardo (in the blue mask) measures 1.75" x 3.5", Donatello (purple) is getting a big hug from Metalhead in an impressive 10" x 8" image, Raphael (red) is 5.5" x 3", and Michelangelo (yellow-orange) measures 6" x 5". The cels show minor handling wear and are taped to printed backgrounds for presentation purposes. The drawing is rendered in graphite and blue pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper, and it has a cut-and-taped piece of Xerox print. It shows minor handling and edge wear, and it is noted as R-8 in the lower right corner. The condition of all pieces is Very Good.
