    Description

Superman Lois Lane Studio Model Sheet (Max Fleischer, 1941). Brash, outspoken, and prone to take dangerous chances, Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane seemed to be forever in need of rescue by Superman in the series of animated shorts produced in the 1940s. Here she is, in an early studio-used model sheet print, dated June, 1941 (the first short, Superman, was released on 9/26/1941). There are seventeen images of Lois, some fully realized, others in block and line form, plus one image each of Superman and Clark Kent, shown for size comparison. Model sheets like this were printed in very limited number for use by animators, and were never meant to be taken from the studio, making them rare and desirable today; having one from the Fleischer Studios' Superman series makes them even more sought-after by collectors. This sheet is matted with an opening of 17" x 12.25" and framed using Plexiglas for an overall size of 25.25" x 23.5" x 1.25". Frame is sold as-is. Slight vertical fold crease. Very Good condition.
