Superfriends "The Pied Piper from Space" Title Card/Production Cel (Hanna-Barbera, 1978). This is a rare title card from the long-running franchise Superfriends. Each week the five core heroes assemble in the Hall of Justice and receive assignments from Colonel Wilcox. "The Pied Piper from Space" is an episode of Challenge of the Super Friends which initially aired over ABC on 10/7/78. Title cards also known as a title sequence for a television series have routinely played a central role in establishing the show's identity. Repeated at the beginning of every new and rebroadcast episode, usually with limited changes over the course of the series' run, they can become highly memorable. Theme music played during the sequence are often remembered decades later. This outstanding title card features all five of the Superfriends, hand-painted on 12 field acetate and placed over a background copy/print. A "must-have" for Superfriends fans and animation collectors! Condition is Very Good.
