Super Chicken Fred the Lion and Super Chicken Presentation Cel Set-Up Signed by Jay Ward (Jay Ward Studios, 1960s). An original hand-inked and hand-painted scene cel of Super Chicken and Fred created for the Dudley Do-Right Emporium. With little-to-no production artwork available, Jay Ward would paint cels of the studio's most famous scenes. This one shows Super Chicken reciting the George of the Jungle show's most famous line: "You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred!". (Super Chicken was voiced by Bill Scott and Fred by Paul Frees, the same guys who provided the voices of Bullwinkle J. Moose and Boris Badenov.) Super Chicken measures 4" and Fred is 5". What makes this cel so special is that it is signed by Ward, the man behind Rocky and Bullwinkle, Dudley Do-Right, Fractured Fairytales, George of the Jungle, Peabody and Sherman, and many others. The cel is in Fine condition, and is one of the few we've ever seen with a signature from Ward.
