Steel and America and Golden Eggs Donald Duck Production Cel and Background Setup (Walt Disney, 1941-65). This setup is created from two different animation shorts. Donald, in apron with hammer in hand, is from the educational short Steel and America produced for the American Iron and Steel Institute. It was released in September of 1965. This trimmed cel is hand-painted and features a full figure of Donald standing 4.25" tall. It is placed on a hand-painted production background with a hand-painted cel overlay of the barn door. This background and door are from the 1941 short Golden Eggs where Donald disguises himself as a hen in order to steal some eggs. The background can be seen in the short at about the 1:39 mark. This Wilfred Jackson-directed short was released on 3-7-41. Paint is missing from the door. The production number "2251" and a stamped "Nov 22 1940 Alcorn" are on the back. Great mash-up setup. In Fine condition.
