    Description

Steamboat Willie Peg-Leg Pete Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1928). This historic short premiered on November 18, 1928 at the Colony Theater in New York. It was directed by Walt Disney, with principle animation done by Ub Iwerks. This is a rare 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing of Peg-Leg Pete, Disney's first villain, in his very first role. You can see this scene online at about the 1:32 mark. In it, Pete has just kicked Mickey out of the ship's cabin to take over the wheel and is pulling up his pants. This is an amazing full-figure image, measuring 7". The number 10 is written in the bottom right corner, and a blue-stamped "10" is on the backside top right corner. Minor handling wear, a small stain of ink on Peg-Leg's foot; otherwise, in Fine condition. A pure piece of Disney history!
