    Starkist Tuna TV Commercial Charlie the Tuna Advertising Pitch Art (Leo Burnette, c. 1970s-80s). "Sorry Charlie!" Charlie the Tuna is the longtime mascot for Star-Kist Tuna and starred in over 100 TV commercials across five decades. He first appeared in 1961 in an ad produced by the Leo Burnett Agency in Chicago; he was voiced for over 25 years by actor Herschel Bernardi. This is original one-of-a-kind artwork of Charlie the Tuna created for an ad pitch and features his catch phrase "Tell 'em Charlie sent ya". The image with a 7" tall Charlie is rendered with paint on paper mounted to 14" x 11" board. This is a true piece of advertising history. Minor handling and edge wear. Condition is Very Good.
