    Description

Stage Door Cartoon Bugs Bunny Production Cel on Master Production Background (Warner Brothers, 1944). Bugs regains his composure after a throttling at the hands of Elmer in this original hand-inked hand-painted production cel from the 3:56 mark in this Friz Freleng-directed short. The 3" x 4.5" full-figure image is on a 12 field production cel which is over a Master production background from the same short. It's painted in gouache on 12.5" x 10" board and marked Sc 10-12 in the upper margin. It can be seen earlier in the cartoon around the 1:53 mark. While the cel and background appear minutes apart, they work flawlessly together. This Master setup is a rare piece of animation history from Warner Brothers' Golden Age. The cel has some cracked paint and paint loss around Bugs' ears and the background has a few small scuffs. Condition is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
