Description
SpongeBob SquarePants "Scaredy Pants" Pan Production Backgrounds Group of 2 (Nickelodeon, 1999). For the SpongeBob cel collector looking to create master setups, presented here is a pair of original hand-painted production backgrounds from the season 1 Halloween special "Scaredy Pants". Featured are images of a Bikini Bottom seascape and the rustic wooden floor of the Krusty Krab. The pair are rendered in gouache on pan-sized background paper and measure 29.5" x 10.5" and 22" x 10.5" respectively. Both are marked with production code #109. These are two extraordinary one-of-a-kind paintings from the debut season of this global animated franchise. The first season was the only one to use hand-painted cels and the generic settings of these backgrounds will pair seamlessly with practically any SpongeBob character cel to create a Master setup. The pair show minor handling, edgewear and both have been rolled. The pegholes are on strips of paper taped to the bottom of the art and the tape has dried and come loose in places.
