Description
SpongeBob SquarePants "Scaredy Pants" Pan Production Background (Nickelodeon, 1999). In this lot is the original pan background used in the opening seconds of SpongeBob SquarePants' first Halloween special. It's an exceptionally lively scene that includes a pirate ship, Jack O' Lantern and the Krusty Krab. It is painted in gouache on 37" x 10.5" background paper marked S/B #109 BG-1. The Jack O' Lantern image is on a matching overlay cel. It's a beautifully detailed one-of-a-kind masterwork from the debut season of an incredibly popular franchise that has spawned feature films, comics, video games and countless consumer goods.
