    Description

Spider-Man Production Cel and Animation Drawing with Related Newspaper (Marvel/Krantz Animation, 1968-2003). Rare hand-painted production cel from the original Spider-Man animated series, showing the "corrected" eight-leg spider logo on Spider-Man's costume. The logo dates this to either second or third season of the series, which was directed by Ralph Bakshi. This is a full-figure image of the costumed hero, with an image size of 4.75" on a 12 field animation cel. The matching animation graphite drawing is included; it's signed by the series' original producer, Ray Patterson (1911 - 2001). A California newspaper supplement, The Ramona Sentinel Magazine dated April 2003 is included, with a cover feature on the animated Spider-Man and Mr. Patterson. The cel has an area of missing acetate along the upper edge, well away from the image; it's otherwise in Very Good condition, as is the drawing; newspaper is in Fine condition.
