Space Ghost Concept Art Group of 2 (Hanna-Barbera, 1966). "It's time for Space Ghost!" Space Ghost premiered on CBS on 9/10/66. It was paired with another segment, "Dino Boy in the Lost Valley." Alex Toth is responsible for the creation of this show. This is something you never see: rare Hanna-Barbera in-studio pitch artwork of the characters before they were fully developed. This is early Concept artwork of Space Ghost along with Jan and Jayce on oversized black presentation boards measuring 18" x 24". This early artwork would have been used primarily to pitch the show to sponsors and/or to the networks to gauge interest. The first board has one piece of concept art with the show's title, while the second has four cutouts mounted to the board. This is the only early development artwork for this series we have ever seen. It is from the hand of Hanna-Barbera Art Director, Character Designer and Layout Artist, Mr. Tony Sgroi (1924-1998). The first board is signed Sgroi on bottom right. Beautiful large images of 5" to 11". Minor handling and edge wear; images are in Fine condition.
