Song of the South Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Bear Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1946). "What's a laughin' place?" asks Br'er Bear of Br'er Rabbit in this scene at the 1:13:14 mark of Disney's Song of the South. This hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Br'er Bear holding Br'er Rabbit tied to a spit is in a beautiful Courvoisier Galleries setup over a custom airbrush background and still in its original cream-colored mat. The mat bears two signatures, one by a member of "Walt's Nine Old Men," Ollie Johnston and a Walt Disney signature attributed to a studio artist. The character image measures approximately 6" x 6" and is easily one of the single largest and most impressive Song of the South cels we have ever seen. It's framed under glass with a mat opening of 12.5" x 10" in an 18" x 19" frame. Artwork from this controversial 40's film is always in demand by collectors. Condition is Very Good.
