Song of the South Br'er Fox and Br'er Rabbit Production Cel Courvoisier Setup Signed by Walt Disney (Walt Disney, 1946). "It looked like his time done run out for sure. Guess Br'er Rabbit, he had used up his whole bag of tricks. Br'er Fox says to him...'I'm gonna roast you on that fire!'" This is a hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Br'er Fox with Br'er Rabbit tied to a spit. It's a beautiful Courvoisier cel setup on a painted background in its original cream-colored mat with script writing and WDP stamp. The original Courvoisier paperwork is on the back of the frame. The mat was signed by Walt Disney at the Atlanta Animation Exhibit that preceded the premier of Song of the South. This was a gift to the man who rented the exhibit space near the Fox Theater to Disney Studios as a thank you for his help in setting up for Premiere Week. It is easily one of the single most impressive Song of the South cels we have ever seen. It's framed with a mat opening of 8" x 9.5", in a 16" x 17" frame. Br'er Fox measures over 6" tall in this very dramatic image. A nice, big 1940s cursive Walt Disney signature verified from his hand is on the mat. Condition is Very Good.
