Description

Society Dog Show Pluto and Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939). Pair of original 12 field 5-peghole drawings from the exciting climax of this Bill Roberts-directed short, first shown on 2/3/39. Mickey has put roller skates on Pluto and sends him back into the burning building to rescue Fifi. The first drawing is a full figure image of Pluto trying to manage his balance on the skates, in graphite with red and green pencil highlights and motion blurs; it measures about 6", noted as 15 in the lower right. The second shows Mickey and Pluto tumbling together in graphite and red pencil, with an overall image size of 5.5" wide by 4.25" tall, and the number 130 in the bottom right corner. Very Good overall condition with handling wear and tape remnants on the second piece, away from the image.
