    Description

Society Dog Show Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939).
In Walt Disney's Society Dog Show, Mickey Mouse enters Pluto in a high-society dog show. While Mickey grooms Pluto, Pluto starts swooning over Fifi the Pekingese. Things don't look good for Mickey and Pluto after the judge who looks over Pluto kicks them out when the dog attacks the judge. But when a fire breaks out in the building, Pluto bravely goes in to save Fifi and is a hero. Society Dog Show was directed by Bill Roberts with animation by one of "Walt's Nine Old Men" and a Disney Legend Inductee, John Lounsbery along with Norm Ferguson who is credited for his contribution to the creation of Pluto, one of Disney's best-known and most endearing characters. From Society Dog Show, we have a superb drawing of Mickey being forcibly removed after Pluto's unfortunate skirmish with the judge. This image can be seen starting around at the 05:33 mark. The drawing was rendered in graphite with red and green pencil on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper. Mild age-related toning of the paper. Artwork is in Very Good condition.
