Society Dog Show Mickey Mouse and Pluto Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1939). This short featured Mickey, Pluto, and Fifi and was one of Mickey's last shorts to feature him without pupils. It was directed by Bill Roberts and released on 3/3/39. This is an amazing pair of 12-field, 5-peghole animation drawings. The first is of Mickey from the 1:44 mark where he preps Pluto for the show. He is rendered in graphite with light red penciling, measures 4.5" x 3.5", and is numbered 133 in the lower right corner. The second drawing is of Pluto from the same scene at the 1:46 mark as Mickey turns him around. He is rendered in graphite with a green pencil shadow and the page is numbered 80 B. Both pieces show minor handling and fold creases in the lower left corner; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
