Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs The Witch/Old Hag Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). "It's for Snow White. When she breaks the tender peel to taste the apple in my hand, her breath will still, her blood congeal. Then I'll be the fairest in the land!" One of the most prominent of the Disney Villains is The Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Her name was given as Queen Grimhilde in some old publicity material and comics, but this is seldom acknowledged by Disney. The Witch is sometimes referred to as the Old Hag after drinking the aging potion. The Queen was animated by Art Babbitt and the Witch by Norman Ferguson. Here is a fantastic production drawing of The Witch holding the poison apple. She stands an impressive 6" in this graphite and red pencil 16 field animation drawing. The piece is noted as number 1499 in the upper right corner. The drawing has a studio production stamp in the lower left. The artwork is in a Plexiglas fronted-frame of 22.5" x 20" with a matboard aperture of 15" x 12". Frame sold as-is. Mild production handling with minor age-related toning. Artwork condition is Very Good.
