Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Preliminary Production Background (Walt Disney, 1937). "Oh what adorable beds!" says Snow White to the forest animals after she discovers "Seven Little Beds" with each of the dwarfs' names on them. This is an outstanding pre-production hand-painted trimmed background of the dwarf's cottage bedroom. It showcases the beds of Dopey, Sneezy, and Happy. These are the three beds she falls asleep across. Doc's bed is on the other wall. Outstanding painting of gouache on trimmed background board measuring 12" x 9". The final version of this background under camera can be seen around the 24:13 mark. Backgrounds for this landmark film were painted by the talented team of Mique Nelson, Merle Cox, Phil Dike, Ray Lockrem, Maurice Noble, and Samuel Armstrong. Minor handling. Overall condition is Very Good.
