    Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Original Concept Art by Joe Grant (Walt Disney, 1937). A unique piece of concept art is presented here. This is from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and depicts a raven and human skull on top of the Evil Queen's book of potions. This concept piece was created by Joe Grant (1908 – 2005). Grant began working for the Disney Studios in 1933 beginning with the Mickey Mouse short Mickey's Gala Premiere. He also created the Witch in Snow White, co-wrote Dumbo, and led development for Pinocchio and Fantasia. Grant left Disney in 1949, returning 40 years later to work on Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), The Lion King (1994), and Pocahontas (1995), Mulan (1998), and Fantasia 2000 (2000). He even worked on Pixar's Monsters, Inc. In 1992 Joe Grant was inducted into Disney's hall of fame program as an official Disney Legend. This amazing concept piece by Grant was rendered in pastel on animation paper trimmed to 7.5" x 7". The artwork has edge wear and staple holes in the four corners and a torn bottom right corner. Good condition on this RARE Joe Grant piece.
