    Description

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Old Hag Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1937). "Put the apple in the brew... let the sleeping death seep thru." says the newly transformed Old Hag. In this lot is an outstanding hand-inked, hand-painted Courvoisier production cel of the Old Hag at her cauldron, making the poison apple to kill Snow White. In 1939 art dealer, Guthrie Courvoisier was looking for something fresh and obtainable he could represent in his San Francisco art gallery. Being of the same mind, Walt Disney gave Guthrie exclusive rights to market original Disney animation cels. A great image of the Old Hag, cauldron and smoke effects with a large image area of 8" x 7". This is a key scene in the movie. Artwork has shows handling wear with cracked and chipped paint on the cauldron. Good condition.
