    Description

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Dopey Production Cel and Background (Walt Disney, 1937). Due to the Courvoisier Gallery practice of trimming cels to the image and then mounting them to a clear cel, very few original full sheet production cels from Snow White are seen. This is a rare full 12-field 5-peghole hand-inked and painted production cel of Dopey, placed over an original Snow White production background. The background is marked as Seq. 6A Scene 16 and stamped with an "OK" approval mark, initialed SA (probably by Samuel Armstrong). A clear nitrate cel with an embossed 1937 copyright Walt Disney Prod. is placed over the production cel, which has had minor restoration. Edge wear and slight waviness to cel edges; otherwise, image is Fine.
