DescriptionSnow White and the Seven Dwarfs Dopey Animation Drawings Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1937).
"This is Dopey, he don't talk none!" says Happy as he introduces to Snow White this sweet, silly character with baby blue eyes. He's the favorite dwarf of many fans, and here he is, really getting into his meal, in a very rare sequence of three original 12 field, 5-peghole animation drawings. These are from the classic deleted "Music in Your Soup" sequence that was animated in pencil but never inked or painted. The story of this scene is fully documented online, and you can see the complete sequence these drawings were part of. Interestingly enough, this entire sequence was "tightened up" circa 1956 by a team of young animators including Floyd Norman for the Walt Disney's Disneyland television series, in a program titled "The Plausible Impossible" which aired on 10/31/56. The drawings are noted as numbers 1, 9. And 11 in the lower right. Drawn in graphite and red pencil, with image sizes ranging from 3.5" to 5". These historic drawings are in Very Good condition, with light age-related paper toning, minor handling, and edge wear.
