Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Concept/Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). "Mmm, soup!" Snow White prepares dinner as delighted dwarfs look on in this early concept/layout drawing from the first feature length film ever made. Development on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs began in 1934 and brought about many innovations to the animation process in the course of its production including the multiplane camera and special inking processes, Offered here is an original concept drawing from the early developmental stages of this film. It features the title character with longer hair and a couple of dwarfs, neither of which appears to have been given any distinguishing characteristics yet. The 7" x 6" image is rendered in graphite on 2-peghole paper. The pegholes are another indication that this is early concept art as Disney switched to 5-peghole paper for this historic film's production. The paper shows handling, a small piece of the top border torn away and a light staining along the left edge. Condition is Good.
