DescriptionSnow White and the Seven Dwarfs Animator's Dwarfs Practice Drawing/Model Sheet Original Art (Walt Disney, 1937). These detailed original drawings of Doc and Grumpy were created by a Disney animator who was working to understand the Dwarfs' personalities, poses and expressions, and construction in preparation for his animation the characters during production of Walt Disney's first animated feature. One full-figure pose and three portraits of Doc plus three portraits of Grumpy are shown in the artwork that is based on a final model sheet that was issued to animators in 1936. The images are well-drawn, and the artist wrote the explanatory notes that appear on the model sheet. This item is from the estate of Jacques Roberts, an assistant animator on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs who remained with The Walt Disney Studios for many years as animator, assistant director, and producer. These drawings are likely his work. Art is in graphite on a sheet of 12 field 5-peghole animation paper, with an overall image size of 11" x 7.25". A Howard Lowery Certificate of Authenticity is included. Very Good condition with minor handling and paper toning on the page edges.
