Snoopy Sketch by Charles Schulz (Art Babbitt Estate, 1971). Legendary animator Art Babbitt took a cruise with his new wife to Mexico on the Princess Cruise Ship "Italia" in 1971. With the Babbitts were Bill Melendez and his wife as well as Charles Schulz. While on the cruise, Charles Schulz drew this massive sketch of Snoopy doing his happy dance. The enormous 27" image is on brown paper and inscribed to Babbitt's step daughter "To Laurel Lee with my very best wishes, Charles Schulz." The art is in a frame of 31" x 34" and comes with the cruise's passenger list that features all three of these legendary artist's names. The piece shows minor handling and edge wear. Condition is Good and frame is sold as-is. This lot will have to ship from Dallas to the winning bidder. From the Art Babbitt Archives.
