Sleeping Beauty Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora Production Cel with Master Production Background (Walt Disney, 1959). After the Prince awakens Princess Aurora with true loves kiss, they descend the castle stairs and begin to waltz to a reprise of "Once Upon a Dream." While they dance, in the middle of the song, the fairies begin to change the dress from blue to pink, as they dance into the clouds. This is a great hand-inked, hand-painted, trimmed pan cel of Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora in their final dance. Great image size of 3". What makes this lot so special is that the cel is on a Master trimmed pan hand-painted production background of the palace floor. Backgrounds in this film were done by Frank Armitage, Al Dempster, Bill Layne, Dick Anthony, Richard Thomas, Thelma Witmer, Walt Peregoy, Ralph Hulett, Fil Mottola, Anthony Rizzo, and Eyvind Earle. Back of this trimmed pan production background is marked "Ball Room 2082 Sequence 21 Scene 7." Background of the palace and palace floor is 15" x 12". A non-painted area of 12" x 5" is fold over behind the background. Cel is in Very Good condition, background has minor handling, edge wear and tear and folded over section and is in Good condition.
